Does not look very cool; cause there is a hole where the bumper used to be... Older cars worked better with bumper deletes, cause the bumper wasn't integrated into the body as much; I.e. 122, 140 etc

maybe if you welded a piece of metal over where the bumper used to be? I dont really think it would look good though?

from what it looks like once the rear is removed, it wouldnt look to bad, no pics, and i no it will need sheet metal to cover up the hole. Looks real nice on mk1/mk2 scirroccos VW... similiar body style...

I remember a picture of a dark green 240, I think a 245 with this done and I thought it looked really good.

Here's a progress-pic from when BRC was being painted the first time ... it's obviously not an end-product, but I'm having problems envisaging it working without a lot of panel-work.

i think the early pre 86 24x's will be able to pull it off ONLY if they are slammed to the ground

but if you delete the front bumper, then you loose that lip type look, like your holding your bottom lip out....hard to explain...

Some pic without a bumper, try to imagine no bumper shocks .

I think if there was any car it would look good on, it would be a pre '79. But even so it would be a stretch... I've thought about trying to put 140 bumpers on my '78... but it's a 240 gosh darnit.
It could look good maaybe on a newer wagon. They have that narrowing like the VW Rabbits that makes no bumper look good.
Edit: mmm Wabbit

THATS who i was thinking of.

i think it would look good, but only if you shaved the front bumper too. the boxy-ness of the front of the car, though, prevents any good images of the aformentioned idea in my head.

A rolled bumper looks good on the back of a 245.

And ugly, without thousands of dollars of fiberglass/body work. And dangerous, bumpers are required for a reason. 'Specially rear ones. You've got the gas tank back there.

Looks ain't worth dying in a fireball for, folks.
