And dump some alcohol in the tank... Some honda kids have claimed to pass emissions without a cat on that! (Or so a forum said...)

Good thing I don't live in Norway then . They do have an MOT here, but they just check if everything works as it's supposed to. They also check the emissions, but the car has to oblige to the rules of the year it was made in, so for my car it can pollute just as much as cars without a cat in 1989

She's looking good.

I like the stockish external look, and the wheels just set it off nicely without being OTT imo..I like them too.

I have found that a sober standard appearance and lack of underbonnet 'bling' can be helpful at MOT/ APK time. The standard of your fabrication and installation should give the tester a positive impression, and the almost 'factory' look to the non-standard parts also helps.

The silicone intercooler hoses are also available in black rather than the usual blue, and I think on your car that would have worked nicely (I know Volvo used a blue hose on the first compressor outlet pipe), but just my personal taste.

Nice.

Well, a pictureless update since last time (I've been busy with school etc for a while). I was having difficulty getting the engine running, no matter what settings I tried. With the help of Dap_p we narrowed it down to the COPs. It would spark etc but it just wouldn't start properly. It would just crank without signs of life and occasionally start to run out of the blue. Unable to solve the problems with the COPs I switched to the coil pack from a Ford Escort (together with the stock Ford 20uF capacitor). I use MS to control the coil directly. Got it at a local junkyard for next to nothing, installed it, turned the key and it started within half a second and continue to idle great at the RPM it is supposed to . I've also finished the exhaust from front to back together with some other minor things that needed to be done before it can drive safely again. I hope to be tuning ms this weekend .

Pics of the engine with the ford coil pack (I've made a bracket for it on the brace thing that acts as a third engine mount mounting point):

Installed an air filter. The plastic tube thing that goes from the air filter to the turbo is the pipe that normally goes from the throttle body to the filterbox on a stock B234F. It fits really nice so thats one original part that stays on the car :

Tomorrow I hope to be driving it for the first time since it's been modified
