Here is a guy with a very unsual engine swap: a B230K in a 244 '89. Which carb came in such engine?

B230K should come with a 2 port Solex Cisac carb. A VERY complicated carb , runs fine , and cheap when it works. Usually , when theres a lot of miles on it , it starts giving trouble. No spares around , and I havent found anyone on the internet that was able to get it running properly again.
A lot of these cars were sold here , and a lot of them have had the Pierburg from the B23A installed instead.

RogerB converted a few of them to Pierburgs back in the day. PM him if you want the low down. He may not answer immediately as the barstewards he works for sent him to the Carribean to fix a genny for a couple of days.

Thank you for the answers, the car owner want to replace the carb. What carb can be used? One from a B21A? B23A?

if the car has a B230K engine always use a carb from another 2,3L engine (B23A) if you are using a B21A carb on a B230 engine the engine will run lean at any revs higher then idle. This will result in low power and if you have a heavy drivingstyle, melted pistons.

hmm...thank for the info. What another carbs ca be considered? (the car is not mine)

The Weber down draft carbs some people like to fit to Volvos , fit on the manifold with only a bit of filing of the holes. Either that , or the B23A carb , incl manifold , air filter hose throttle cable etc.
