This is true.....again the reason the front sits a little higher is because I had just replaced the strut mounts so they haven't really settled in yet. When it does it will look better. As of right now I'm not gonna touch it.

Indeed.

Everyone and their mother has a flathood. And everyone is lazy so they flat black it. Which in turn makes it look like a cheap ****box.
This is juuuuuust right!

They don't have to, but my '97 Powerstroke diesel had less wheel gap than your 240.
Just sayin.

Oh, I forgot!

Only the least respectable and most feminine of Turbobrick's forum members are proponents of spring "hacking". We must be in league with GroupA, mikep, towerymt, thelostartof, the poi, jordan, klr142, etc. Oh and remember that guy that built your 242? Yeah, he's one of us too.

The only people that complain about chopping springs are the same people that can't explain why you shouldn't do it. They can't explain why so many people, for so many years haven't had a problem with it, and most of all they would never be able to tell the difference riding in a car with chopped springs.

"Shhhooooot. I didn't have to spend money, so I must be doing it wrong!"

Why not?
Spring seating issues. Having to guide springs in after they fall out sucks. As does having a spring wrap a coil around a perch and riding like **** as a result. Moderation is the key here folks.

Wow chopstick way to take the spring chopping debate to a whole new level.

Should we turn in our man cards now or later?

Naaaah it's when you cut off WAY too much.
Way to selectively read my post and ignore the last line.

Why did you waste the time to post that at all then?

Take a guess. I was telling people why cutting springs can be a bad idea, and then added that it is only when you go too far that it's an issue.
Reading comprehension fail?

I've gotta be honest, I'd cut some coils and put it lower. But the car looks great. Nice work!

No. Why waste time stating the obvious? Was my point.

It's just the front really. a half a coil up there would make it look more aggressive, without hurting your ride quality or making the tires rub. I have 215/45/17s on my 17x8 Borbets on a much lower car and they never rub.
