The car had been damaged in a race just before we saw it, so we only got to hear it run & rev, but that was good enough for me. Before we went to visit the owner, all I knew was that it was an S40 rallycross car. We had no idea it had this engine until we saw the car. This was from last summer

Exactly, just two valves. The head is lighter that way.

No. There is no firing order. The spark plugs fire randomly to create a chaotic combustion event. That's the secret to high power output.

Yes they do. This is a new kind of engine technology where the cylinders come up and down at the same time while the pistons are stationary. The engine becomes more complex this way, and complexity is what motorsport is all about.

WTF is this ****? I'm not ****ing retarded.

I'm simply asking a question because I haven't heard or cared much to research these Evo heads.

custom casted 8v head for redblocks that costs around $10k if you can get one. :omg:.

I figured it was an 8v. I didnt think a 1 intake 1 exhaust for the entire engine would work that well.

Actually in some old WWII radial airplane engines the crank was stationary and the cylinders were the rotating mass.
