Default So. Cal. Dyno day in Upland!

My Benz buddies are putting together a dyno day in Upland tentatively to be held the last Sat. of Sept. or the first Sat of Oct. although it may go a week or two farther into October if necessary. 10 guys are needed and we have 5 so far one of whom is Casey (user name 98t5m), the S70 guy. The cost will be 50 bucks for 3 runs and the facility does include the AFR numbers on the sheet which is cool cause many don't.

So who else wants to go?
Regards, Eric

Building a motor. $50 pays for a lot of little parts that occur when doing such things.

I was PMed by a member who asked if the shop would be offering tuning as an option on our dyno day. While there will obviously be time allowed between your dyno runs for you to do your own tuning, the shop won't be doing any tuning unless you have an aftermarket FI system like MS as they are not equipped to do Volvo systems.

We only need about two more people folks!

OK, we are finalizing the date now. It's gonna be the next to last week of October, just prior to the next track day at ACD. In other words, probably exactly one week before 10/30/10, which of course will also be on a Sat. We only actually need about 2 more people but more would be welcome!

Daniel, That's a darn good question! I don't know the answer because I know the organizer very well and he trusts me to come through on my commitment. So for me it's just show up on dyno day with the cash. I'll find out from him what the deal is and I'll post the answer.

Glad you two are coming! Thanks for helping us meet our number too!

OK, I already have the answer! We are going with the "honor system". You guys have the same privileges as me! If anybody bunks out on us and messes it up for the rest of us, I'm supposed to flame them hard here though. (I know that won't happen though!)

Cool! Glad you are coming Steve!

The 76 station in West Covina off Citrus at the 10fwy has 100 octane unleaded, and further east on the 10fwy, there is a full race gas place that can sell you C16 and other really high octane stuff if you lack a cat. I don't have the time at this moment to look up the place. It is a few miles east of the Fontana raceway.

Less than a week to go!
More info:
Shop is Rage performance in Upland, CA just off the 10 freeway. 8455 Loma Pl. Upland Ca. 91786
Dynojet brand Dyno.
A/F ratios included.

We still would like to get a few more people committed to come so we can have a "cushion" just in case a few people bunk out on us. Is anybody else coming?

No huey! I might try to make it up there with the 940. Its got a misfire issue though now when I get on it hard. I gotta check my plug wires and plugs and cap a small vac leak. Then maybe get my larger injectors in.

Kinda want to see what the current setup'll do...

Steve, you got your car smogged? I might be down to ride with. My strut mount is making bad noises right now too.

I just replaced the 02 sensor, spark plugs and wires. Running and idling like a champ, so I'll be there for sure.
Not smogged yet, might have to get a 1 day op permit if I can't get it passed by then.

Update @ T-21:16 :
Zvolv is bringing a jack and fuel pressure gauge with a Schrader valve attachment. Hopefully the problem lies within a clogged fuel filter, but the Walbro is on hand, if not.

What about jack stands? I know this is Turbobricks, but jack stands should be a part of the plan if someone is gonna be laying under an elevated car. I can bring some if you want. Please let me know tonight as I probably won't be on the computer in the morning.

Edit: Just found this out from the organizer:
"For those in attendance, one last small note: Payments will be accepted in Cash or Credit. Credit payments will be subject to a 4% surcharge. No checks. So, I suggest bringing cash. See you all there!"
Regards, Eric
