Default petrol head mum has new volvo (56K enter at ye peril)

well she bought chesh's dads interiem car.

97 940 turbo.211K but running strong, all elec, AC, looks like boost has been set to LPT spec but block says B230FT and strange thing the engine keeps pulling after 4000 unlike a T cammed engine.

but onto the pics.

Also note that the airbox has TURBO on it, where as my LPT doesnt, bet you its had an engine change, a swap with a FT turbo engine as they probly thought (wrongly) that the LPT engine is different to the HPT engine.

i doubt if they were swaping in the FT engine they would also do the badge, boost gauge and airbox too.

the B230FT was still availible in 97 so i guess they got it wrong on ordering and sent out the HPT not an LPT, then during servicing the book says LPT so when did the boost check found it to high and reset it to LPT spec.
