and if you look at the page, what does it recommend? A steel plate behind it:
http://www.skandix.de/de/fahrzeug-te...e88921a7162e4f and that set you back another 20,53 Euro. (well worth the money though) And they know why they recommend it. -- but if you feel like leave it off and see what happens when going on the autobahn --- cheers, Hans

I'm back to my CAI since few days, and I notice it decrease a bit the fuel consumption, + my engine breathe better, with a nice torque gain! Definitely a good mod!

Back to my 984 ECU, my car have a nice improvement in torque, especially around 3500 RPM! I'll maybe have a look at a big cone air filter, in a self made air box...

Time for a small update...:
Due to my CAI, my car was running very well since 1 month...so well I was thinking it can give more juice... I've tried cam advanced +2 : better! 984 ECU with my previous Stoni's chip : better. New "blabla's" EZK chip : far better. New Stoni's ECU chip : more better! So now, my car pulls great! + the fuel consumption is way better also! I think I'll let it as it is for a while, just to drive it with a lot of fun! ![]() |

Great shots of the vintage F1 and other racers. Those big old DOHC 6 cyl motors from Maserati, Aston Martin, Jaguar -- man are they ever pretty!! My father was in the US military and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany from 1962-1965. My first experience with car races was the Hockenheim hill climb and the 1964 1000 km race at the old Nurburgring. Ruined me for life.....in a good way.

Woaw, for a first experience, it's great!
I'm a huge fan of race cars, especially the 60's/70's cars... I was 3 times at Le Mans Classic, and it was totally amazing to see some cars like Porsche 917, Lola T70, Porsche 935 and 936 also, Hownet, Matra 670, Bugatti Type 35, Ford Cobra and far more... |

Went to school at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA and spent every chance I got up at Road Atlanta watching the old 935's race in the mid-late 70's. Watching Danny Ongais wheel the black Interscope 935 around the track was a lesson in car control. 800 HP in a short wheelbase -- the only coaching you could give someone that hadn't driven them before was 'for god's sake, have it pointed straight when the boost hits.'

For sure the 935 was a pure monster! I've seen some in different races, even in hill climbing races, and for sure the drivers have a lot of job to stay on the road! ![]() Just for fun, a short vid of one of the best 935 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML80P...layer_embedded |

Any idea what sort of power you're making with the car setup as it is now? It looks really great, and the combination of parts seems to be very nicely thought out!

hi Alex
I didn't follow all your changes and change backs -- could you list your current combo of changes for us, so that we have an idea where you stand? You tried a large variety of camshafts, -- could you give us your take on the different grinds you tried? cheers, Hans |

I want to ask you how you ensured the fasteners 012 AMM? What kind of adapter? And what was the old ignition coil? |
