No it's not a trick..

Didn't measure but it looks like the rear bar is larger in diameter compared to the front bar.

Added to that the rear bar's functioning is somewhat different from a "standard" bar so I thought maybe the bar is hollow and iPD used the 22 mm naming just as a sort of force indicator.

weigh it and check the density

I would also think you could probably tap on the rear bar with a hammer and hear if its solid or tubular.

It's solid if it's one of ours. All our bars are solid. Johann, I'm guessing you got that set from European Tuning, because we have plenty of those kits in stock...

This is a used set. Don't know if it came from ET.
Ordered a new set 25/22 early December from another supplier in the Netherlands. They had 25/25 in stock but the 25/22 was backordered.

Decided to go borrow some parts from my son's project car...

Engine ran like crap ever since we got it but after putting in a couple of liters of fuel so I could move the car to the other workshop to pull the engine it decided to run like a charm..

Changed the plans a bit to try to get it registered before the end of March. Want to borrow injection fuel lines, filters and the pump. I also think the M46 plus driveshaft will be moved to the 242.

oh snap, you gonna get that thing rebalanced?

You might have some issues wit hteh trigger wheel being rubber damped. Have you considered running a CAS DSM adapter? Yoshifab makes a slick unit.

not using the 60-2 on the flywheel of the B234? The redblock harmonic balancers arent nearly as wear-resistant as the whiteblock ones.

rest: very nice, car looks beautiful. looking forward to see more updates!

Often a point for concern yes but this pulley appears to be in good shape. Only needs to drive the alternator and water pump. For now I don't have any concerns.

There's hardly any room behind the engine. Will need to make something at the cam later on to run the engine sequential.

Not at the moment no. Used a B21E flywheel and also the M46 gearbox which isn't prepared for a crank sensor. Because of this I was forced to make something at the front of the engine.

Time will tell. Like I said it appears solid given the way I bolted it to the mill table.

Thank you Sir!
I decided to try and make the car ready for some stupid event on April one..

For this the engine is going to run group injection and wasted spark for the time being.

His CAS adapter is block mounted and is great for sequential.

It's B234, no provisioning for a block mounted distributer.

In the KL racing webshop they now also have an aluminum belt drive (solid) for 900kr or something, I'm gonna order one in the near future. Maybe something for this build as well?

Decided to not use the B21E K-Jet fuel system. This because it has the fuel filter placed above the firewall in the engine bay which I don't like.
Visited the wreck yard today and pulled a pump and filter bracket plus everything on to from a newer 240 model. Cleaned and painted it and installed a new pump I already had in stock.

Also pulled the complete fuel feed line from the wrecker because it has the proper length and connections.

While at it I also took the bar holding the light relay from this car because it was in better shape than the one which came with the 242.

In the mean time work on the EMS is slowly progressing.

Loom is near finished apart from some connectors. Injection and coolant connectors are already in place

Also bought a nice fuse-relay box,

Exhaust is installed using a stock flame pipe and a 2.5" Simons exhaust system. Need to weld in an O2 bung still.

Don't know yet.. Want to have the car ready for the "Eland Run" April First so I'll have to make some compromises for now. Need to have it "cruise ready". With all the work which still needs to be done I want to keep it as basic as possible to prevent unwanted surprises. After that I want to change the setup to full sequential with COP coils and change the intake setup to better suit the 240 engine bay. Also looking at ITB's at the moment but haven't decided yet. After that I want to drive the car for a while and maybe attend some track days together with the SDM. Thing is, that 5 cylinder is hard to beat...
