1) do you have appropriate wiring diagrammes?
2) WHAT YEAR is the 245 (this info REALLY helps us help YOU... 3) and *YES* most of the crew here "knows anything/something" about wiring headlamps....

one GROUND per lamp
one LO BEAM POWER per lamp on HIGH BEAM POWER per lamp use the ORIGINAL *ROUND LAMP CONNECTORS" (or go to NAPA etc and get a pair of NEW ones) with a test lamp and the wires laid out where you can see them - pick ONE OF EACH (as listed above and hook them up) tape over any remaining "open" terminals to precloude 'lektrikal shorts I'm NOT trying to be a prick here - rather I'm asking YOU to "decipher" the wiring diagram for YOUR CAR so that if "faecal matter strikes the air circulation device" you'll be able to fix it properly - in the dark - in the rain - alone - on a deserted road - with nowt but a pocket knife and some duct tape (or cable ties)..... |

when i pulled the headlight and there buckets from the parts car at the yard i got them from i got there connectors with them, i matched up the wires from my car to the colors on the ones from the yard so my connectors and the salvaged ones match. result low beams only....
could it be a relay? deciphering it is not my issue, as thats what i did to get this far but with the diagrams i can find its not much help i have done or been apart of all work on this car from when we got it tell now. im fighting with many other things on the car also so im alittle spread out.... |

the colour code remains the same :
BLUE is LOW BEAM RED is HIGH BEAM BLACK is EARTH pull your power and make the ground using the OUTER SOCKETS on YOUR car which *SHOULD BE* "three terminal sockets" (tape off the INNER *two wire* connector which is the "original HIGH BEAM ONLY bulb") TP30808-1 is the GREENBOOK that has the diagrams you require starting on page 43 or there'bouts |
