Default 240 Turbo Radiator Hoses

I could swear that there was an upper hose with a molded "T" off of it for a water cooled turbo....just like the 700/900 hoses. The parts guide shows the upper hose for a water cooled turbo as 1346495 - then shows the exploded view as what looks like a metal "T" that is hose clamped in the middle of the radiator hose.

What did any of you +T'ers use for a stock upper hose?

The big one on the lower hose.
Smaller on the overflow bottle hose.
It siphons coolant upon shutdown as well as circulating a bit when running.

Here take a look at the 240 Turbo ICB kit installation manual I sent into K-jet.org.
Which they so kindly scanned and put online.

Getting foggy, but I believe its one or the other. The other coolant line comes off the lower rad hose.

I am thinking that the return line on my car is hooked into a heater hose but I can't be sure about that. I might have to take a look tomorrow. Almost certain that it doesn't go to the reservoir line.

When I figure this out, I may make a shopping list and exploded view for future reference.

Just the bracket, and bottle mounting V on the TIC [84.5+] bottle.
Same thing really.
In fact the ICB kit shows the 700 style bottle and lower radiator/ intercooler cushions.

84.5 TIC style.

84.5 + lower cushions.

700 STYLE LOWER CUSHIONS.

A quick look at vadis jogged my memory, the other coolant line comes off the lower hose on the 700 series. The diagrams for 85 240's wasn't so helpful.

One Tee on the bottle, one Tee on the bottom hose.
Step #19 in the ICB installation manual I posted.

84 240 had better diagrams, same setup, but both use metal tees. I think I might convert to that so I don't have to use URO hoses, and dont have to spend a fortune on dealer ones.

So do both T's go to the turbo?

I have all the bracketry, shrouds, diesel airbox, oil cooler setup, etc. Don't have the tank bracket.

I'm going to use a 700/900 washer bottle and mount it...."differently". heh heh

It's not a bad set up except the Tees tend to rust.
About the same time the turbo goes, so it's part of the turbo service [read replacement].
Working on having some stainless Tees made up.

Pro JY tip;
In any case pay attention to the 93-95+ benzes & audis in the yards for the nice stainless euro style 7mm drive hose clamps.

Yes.
I don't have a picture down in there however.
