Default adding turbo from 91-740 to 90-245 questions...

Hello
going to pick up parts tomorrow for my +turbo project (1990 245) and the donor car is a 1991 740 turbo.
Have been reading many forums and threads and I see some great writeups for a 2.2 to 2.4 ezk etc.. but not much for a lh2.4 to lh2.4
- are there any wiring issues for the ecu or ezk?
- how much of the ezk wiring do I need? i see the 2.2 conversion needs some extra bits..
- do i need the amm from the 740 or will my 240 stock amm work?
- do i need to convert to 850 injectors or will the stock ones work? (not interested in using any resistor packs etc... I'd just rather buy new injectors that work if needed)
- can i reuse my current intake manifold or is there a difference and a need to get the turbo intake, whats the difference?

here is my parts list, anything missing?
- Turbocharger
- oil feed and return lines for turbo
- exhaust manifold
- intercooler and all of its piping
- brakets and retainers for the intercooler and radiator,
- ezk and ecu
- ??

thanks
Gord

Hello 542... Doing a similar thing soon, but just curious: How are you going to do your oil return?

Hi,
I have the donor car plumbing but not sure yet, I've been reading re the oil pan weld bung or oil pan drill method. I do have access to the donor car oil pan so maybe I'll take that off and experiment with it.
Any other members have an elegant solution? Has anyone done a clean job of drilling the block somewhere on a b230 (1990 245)? Not interested in doing a hack temp type job jb weld.

Cheers,
Gord

Default remote oil filter and turbo oil line feed?

Anyone used a remote oil filter housing and somehow tapped into that to feed the turbo oil instead of going the oil pan drill/weld route? In my initial readings it would appear that as long as I stay below the level of the turbo for gravity I should be ok?

anyone actually done this and can recommend the remote filter setup?

Cheers,
Gord
