Default 1972 Ford courier Volvo powered.

My roommates truck that we are building.

Here's some pics since his laptop is a acer lol

Kinda where its going to sit. The issue we ran into was the toyota axles the spring perch against the pumpkin its still puts the leafs outside the frame. We mocked it up but will wait till the engine is in it to set the height.

Pulled the engine from the donor car on sunday

2.3L 4 cyl turbo. 160hp stock. This has a updated exhaust manifold, atp wastegate housing, adjustable cam gear and a few other things. With 3'' exhaust and a decent intercooler it should have 250hp at the crank and return 30mpg when the driving is easy. We pulled the complete wiring harness from the volvo and will strip the stuff we don't need from it.

Kinda cool and easy the fuel pump and filter are in a single assy that we'll adapt to the courier somewhere. Just need to add a return line i think.

Spent a hour or so today and dropped the motor an trans in. Need to build motor mounts and trans mount. It's actually a good fit in there.

If only I had such fab skills, I'd have kept the '75 Chevy Luv and swapped in a redblock...

NICE!

It was also A armd and we converted it to 4wd. I cut the front frame off right at the cab. The Volvo motor will be better cruiser and more "cool" than the 260 v8 and also gives more clearances underneath

Found this on Wikipedia about the:
Quote:
Identical to the Toyota A43D and A43DL except with different tailshaft housings (switchable) and tailshaft flanges (removable).
I don't know if either of those had a transfer case, and I'm too lazy to look. This thread has some adapted Volvo transmissions, with different stuff attached to both ends.
