Default MS1 or MS2

I won an MS2 on the bay today and the guy said he could convert it back to a MS1 no problem. Is the MS2 software readily available? I've had trouble downloading it. Also, is the 2 of more benefit to run?
Let me know so I can get this thing on the way.

Thanks. KR

MS2 offers more potential than MS1, but the software isn't there yet. Yet being the operative word.

If you get the MS1 now, you can buy the MS2 chip later. AFAIK, you can't just buy the MS1 chip, but I'm sure you can ask for one without much trouble.

The MSI chip can be bought for 12.00 from B&G:
