oh ya, work it baby

who's your daddy

Also finished my cutoff switch:

I had to ruin a perfectly good pair of craftsmen pliers by welding on screws for the sole purpose of compressing the heinous snap-ring that holds the compressor on. Anyway, that's where I'm at. Next step is the, erm, intercooler "installation". Then its to the IC piping.... and then we megasquirt, which, btw, now supports 6cyl COP. Fantastic!

just out of curiousity, what are the horsepower goals of this engine? Are we talking 350+ at the wheels?

Looks great though, I can see this is going to be the next biggest thing to have!

Good luck

Obscenely beautiful. It looks about as stock as a truck turbo can look bolted to a luxo-barge.

cheers

some marine shop in LA. it's a fantastic switch, all polycarbonate with a simple swivel contact in it. rated to 275amp continuous! better than all the auto switches i've looked at

power goals... well, for this motor, 350-400 (cause thats the general consensus of the rods turning into jellies from tpc). but the next step will be a late s90 motor with some custom internals... for that, power goal will be "more". How soon that happens depends entirely on what kinda power the manifold and turbo can support, as well as how much the driveline can take....

edit:// and btw, thanks for the compliments guys, i appreciate it

so what's the point if you can't even race it @ the drag strip(cut off HAS to be external). actually its more like your style to build something pimp and not run it @ the track(tho you did once)

and start it and get video of the compressor wheel spining .. since its still got the n/a Intake and lots of backpressure on the exhaust get an idea for what its gonna sound like ... haha

just make sure there are no small children around to get sucked up

that is unbelievably awesome looking. That project is my inspiration, and I can only hope to get as much done in the time that you have. Call back next summer and you might have some competition...

I am looking forward to hearing this thing once you get it running. What are your plans for the intake manifold if I might ask??

thats why there's so much slack I'm going to use an old tailight and punch a hole in it-- ill move the switch from where it is to the light whenver i go racin

barney: using the stock manifold. It'll make for a good turbo intake, the inlet fires straight down and the ports are all perpendicular to it. it'll mean good mixing
