Volvospeed/Swedespeed August 9-10 east coast meet (near DC)

OK, here's the specific details. So new brick, old brick, doesn't matter, still come. I am cross posting this to Volvospeed, Swedespeed, ClubVolvo, VPtuning, Turbobricks, and the Brickboard.

August 9th
10am-6pm General Meet/BBQ at Rock Creek Regional Park near Lake Needwood
After 6pm, go out for dinner somewhere and go out on the town afterwards where-ever the locals see fit. We will decide during the daytime meet.

August 10th
9am to whenever - Racing at Mason Dixon Dragway in Boonsboro. It is 47miles north from the park from the first day and they are the only local dragstrip that has a race day open to the public on Sunday. Afterwards maybe a possible drive through the country, or just call it a weekend. We will see during the meet. The fee for racing is $25

Hope to see as many people as possible. I know I will be making the nearly 1200mile trek out there.

Now I realize that you guys already have some stuff planned on those dates, but if you are in the DC area with nothin to do one of those days, stop by and say hi

I'm pleased to see that this has come together to be something organized. I'll definitely make it one day, hopefully both.

If you all are looking to do some sort of cruise, there are some nice twisty roads up around Damascus & Germantown.

Any prize for fastest Volvo? Slowest Volvo?

I will be there with my fabricator and brother and have a demo of the coilovers we are selling maybe make a few passes with my car. Ihope Yannis will be there

Yes, this thing is definatly on. We got all the OK's from the park director and such, just look for some signs that I can hopefully make by tomarrow. I am making a 1200mi trek to this event, so I hope that it is atleast somewhat successful. I know it will be pretty decent, and I am praying to god it doesn't rain, but if it does, please still come. We will be using an unreserved pavilion, or at the very least I am bringing a bunch of camping rain flys.

You keep talking about the meet @ the park what about Mason Dixon ? That is what I am going to of course I will be there either way.

I will be there on Sat, I definately want to see the coilovers, as I am planning on buying a set here shortly. Unfortunately I can't make it the strip on Sun as have other arrangements.
