Things to look out for?
Besides spline tool, any other special tools to look for? Experience installing this clutch and PP? (BTW the application is as it would be on a 240 Turbo, i.e. No step flywheel, 8.5" clutch) Thanks! Install to happen in two weeks...gunna get my hands dirty...about time I know! Cheers, |

Have you ever had the joy of dropping the trans?
You'll need a REALLY long extension. I made it happen with 17mm|3"ext|universal|2'ext|3/8"->1/2" adapter|6"ext|1/2" ratchet. That's to reach the two bolts at the top of the engine/bellhousing. A block of wood and cinderblock under the oil pan will keep it from dropping too far when you remove the rear crossmember. Disconnecting/reconnecting the clutch cable will be way easier if you remove the bolt the clutch pedal rests on at rest (take a look, you'll see it 10mm head, about three or four inches long with a rubber sheath). You'll also need to address the OD wiring, I think it unplugs under the carpeting.
