Thanks mate,
Tomorrow I'm hoping to get around to changing the fuel filter, I was going to do it today but as soon as I started jacking up the car it was getting dark too fast. Also hoping to flush the tranny fluid. Also going to remove all the chrome trim and paint it black. Any recommendations on paint? I'd prefer to keep it more of a matte finish nothing super high gloss stuff. Also going to try and tackle painting the cracked black tape trim near the windows.

Been wanting to go junkyard hunting for some turbo parts for the summer project, +T! But I've been too lazy to go drive down there since the closest Pick Your Part to me is down in Anaheim and I've never been there. The only other place is some place that removes the stuff for you and you never see the car and aren't the best priced. Maybe I'll find a good deal on some nice wheels also , I'm actually starting to like the look of black wheels.

*edit*
I do know how to put the img takes just thought i'd leave them out for those with 56k and also since they're a bit large. But I'll put them anyways.

Default Nice wagon!

Very good looking ride! To paint the trim it looks great using a satin finish paint. I like to use Wurth Trim paint. It looks just like the original.

Well today finally installed the new fuel filter, god that thing was a pita to remove. I literally bent the old filter trying to remove it. Car does start up a bit better I noticed, also the fuel that came out the back end of that filter was nasty dirty, filter looks 10 years old.

Thanks Volvhoe for the advice on the trim paint, does this also work on metal? Because I want to black out all the chrome. And that crossmember needs to be cleaned, you should have seen it before I attempted to clean it. I also need to sand down and paint my rear bumper (bumper sticker removal gone bad).

I want to flush the transmission fluid today and install the new filter but don't even have any atf, so got to get some hopefully I can get it done today.

Use Duplicolor Bumper and Trim Paint (black). It is lacquer based, dries fast, and dries to a nice matte finish. As long as the bumpers are clean of any protectorants (Armor-All, etc), the paint will adhere very nicely. I paint mine once a year and they look great the whole time...Duplicolor can be found at Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. Use it for the black tape also, it covers great....no need to sand any of the plastic on our cars...

Almost bought a can of that stuff today but wasn't sure if it was any good. I'm going to sand down the bumpers anyways since they've got some scratches and uneven surfaces on them.

Now the only things I need to do are flush the tranny fluid and fix the wiring for the tailgate. The back third light wiring is broken at the hinge and the tailgate lock only locks if the door is closed. Also have to replace the drivers side turn signal lens, it's falling apart. And hopefully get some new taillight lenses since mine are really pores and not in the best shape. I also want to go junkyard hunting for a decent pair of wheels, personally I'm not a fan of steelies and I'd like a nice pair of cheap wheels, probably virgos.

Thanks for the comments on the car.
