Hello, I purchased a high amp NipponDenso alternator awhile back on here and just wanted to confirm the wiring. It's going to be installed in my 1984 242Ti on the driver side with a 740 bracket since my power steering and ac components have been removed. I found a very helpful diagram here:
The only one I am fairly certain about is hooking up the smaller red wire to the 'L' terminal for the dash dummy light so it charges. I'll obviously run the thicker red wire to the 'B' terminal as well as a 4 gauge wire directly to the battery. What will goto the 'S' terminal and 'IG' terminal? Here are some pics of the alternator:
