I have Intrax progressive wound springs on mine. I cut a coil off the front to get it lower, there nice, they drop the car down and handle realy nice. EST has springs also bu I've never tried those.

As stiff as you want to go.

(You might want to do some searching, too)

What do you want to do with the car? Is it a daily driver or a weekend toy/track car?

I'm very happy with the B&G/Koni Sport setup on my 242ti but if it was my daily driver I'd rattle all my fillings loose and probably need new kidneys within 6 months It's not a lot of fun on the pothole ridden streets around here but a blast on the nearby mountain passes.

The first thread when I put the current springs on the wagon:
http://forums.turbobricks.com/showth...ht=350+pigtail
It now has Konis on front. 23mm front bar, 22mm rear bar.

For more than a 1" drop, use 5"x11" rears, and 5"x9" front if you can find them, or under-rate the 11" fronts by 10-20% and cut them. I used Corolla uppers for the 5" and Spectrum uppers for the 5.5".

You might want less spring rate, like 275# front/200# rear.

Coilovers for the front would give more height options.

Spectrum? Like Chevy Spectrum? What is the goal of the different upper spring perch? Is it just a smaller diameter to hold the smaller spring?

Yes. It also has a dish to give a little more height. The Corolla mount had a reverse dish, so it dropped the nose more for a given spring height and rate.
