nitrous, port & polish, milled head, header, higher compression pistons.... dollar for dollar your not going to beat turbo performance. lets say you get a cam, header, exhaust, filter, and pullies. all of that is going to set you back close to a grand and for what maybe 15-20hp???

if its NA, spray the **** out of it. if its REX, ms and turbo that bitch.
MS on an NA autodog car isnt terribly fun(btdt), but you can get some pretty crazy fuel economy.

It'd be closer to 100hp gain, if you use a 16V head that is ported and such, more rev equals more hp, but less streetable.

Look for air box mod, porting, ghetto water injection, gap the plugs a little hotter, upgrade coil, advance the timing a tick, good state of tune.... Uh, tighten up the kickdown cable. Good synthetics for everything. Oh, weight. Lose all the frame weights in the engine compartment. Get a smaller denso alternator, ditch all the ac and powersteering stuff and put an elextric fan on it. Those are all the cheap ones I can think of. Smaller wheels.

Didn't you say you had a 3k budget in the last thread? Buy a little turbo volvo and save the heartache. I spent all kinds of time with my old gle before I realized all the work had been done by the factory and I could get mine for 800 bucks.

Or do some serious looking at the +t threads because if you've got the mechanical ability some of these guys are doing it cheap. Just a lot of work.

i know all the stuff i need to +T it, but its lots of work and lots of parts. im slowwwly but surely buying everything i need, so look out for a +T install from me in about 6 months. if something goes wrong with my car before then, im selling it and buying some kind of 850 turbo.

Get the chassis perfect and start saving for the +T. Anything else is a waste of time and money, except maybe a good cam that will also work well with the +T.
