Default I have access to tons of parts, now what?

Well, I have access to what could be considered a Volvo boneyard, There are numerous 100, 200, and 700 series cars in various stages of rot and disassembly. There are also a couple of 1800s, and a PV, and a few other old Volvos. There is an early 240 turbo (b21ft), and a couple of 760 turbos (one is a '90), but that's about it for turbo cars, the question is, given the vast arrray of volvo bits at my disposal, what sort of things should I take for putting into my shell (89 240)? and how much power can I squeeze out of it without breaking things?

Limiting factor will be the transmission. The rumor on the internet is that Volvo manual boxes start breaking at around "250 hp". Slushboxes are good for slightly more.

Transmission durablility is actually a function of torque (not BHPs), driving style, and traction, so the 250hp claim is actually a bunch of hooey.

The GRM challenges are cool. Pinquin, that early 240 turbo might have a sought-after .63 ar hotside. One clue may be no water cooling.

Above 420Nm or so things start to break with M46.

It seems the 960 Turbo would offer the most power from the simplest bolt on....
