not just the power plant.. it has like tons of volvo stuff in that car...

"Rear end: Volvo Multi-Link with transverse composite leaf spring. "

"Volvo M90. Manual 5 speed, all aluminium, fully synchronised (including reverse)."

"In-line 6 cylinder from Volvo, 3 litre all aluminium exceeding 200 hp"

What the hell is this thing? who makes them? and why can't I get one right now :?

I wanna cruise around in THAT car to the ricer hang outs.. and have some FUN

Screw the C70....THIS was the "coupe" they should have made - and maybe even gotten more midevil with Twin Turbos, etc. - heck, Ford owns Lotus (one of the other companies they stole, er, "bought" technology from)...could have used their suspension. Be nice to watch the M3 guys cry once in awhile.

Sorry guys.....

The Indigo 3000 was manufactured by a swedish company named Jösse Cars that, sadly, went bankrupt in 1999.

Only 40 were sold.

Anybody got a big bag of cash lying around?

According to the main owner of the company, about 15 milj $ was needed to continue production, at the time they went bankrupt.

The price of the car in -99 was between 30k and 50k $.

Needless to say, these cars very rarely change owners....

What a beautiful car. As was said screw the C70, volvo should make one of these cars. Not saying the C70 looks bad, but this thing makes it look almost like an astek. It doesn't need twin turbos or anything that crazy, it's a refined beautiful roadster, not a dragster. At the most a Turbo 5 cyl would get it on the boil plenty fast, it only weighs about 2650LBS or so. I have been looking for a car that looks about as good as a jag e type.[/quote]

Yeah...I checked into the Indigo awhile back, found that they'd gone belly up. Which is a shame - they built some track versions that look positively badass and have the go power to back it up.

Alas, just like the OsCar and the P1900 somebody builds a cool Volvo powered roadster and it never gets full production. I'd love to find an OsCar, or have the cash for an Indigo.

I do have a cool idea for an AWD Volvo that more or less crosses an S60R with a WRC car, I'd honestly rather sink $60K into a project like that than the Indigo. I have a feeling it would be a more likely scenario than locating a OsCar for sale.

Hey look! It's a Shelby Series 1!

So the question is... who did it first?

Too bad they didn't advertise more in the U.S. I think they could have made more of an impact than the BMW Z3, Plymouth Prowler,or Panoz Roadster. Price seems to be in the right range......
