strut brace for 960 with b204FT?

Has anyone experience with fitting a strut brace to a volvo 960 with B204FT (italian import) and aircon? The brace from IPD did not pass the Aircon accumulator.

you may have trouble with that question around here because we never got B204s in the states... maybe a european member can chime in
