Bumper and grill look like they are from a V70R.

FattMatt805 08-15-2009 11:31 AM

bumper yes, grille no

SeriousSteve 08-15-2009 11:45 AM

Actually I think the grille is from an XC70 and moulded into the 960 grille surround.

SouthSideSlider 08-15-2009 12:30 PM

anyone got tyhe picture of the red 960/V90 with the V70 front end?

Greenhornet95 08-18-2009 08:54 AM

Man, I wish they made a 97 960T. The motor is really the only thing keeping me back. it would just be too much work for me to +T that motor. Looks alone..err potential looks...im sold.

I have my S90 on the new C70 18 inch rims. I am lowering it 1 inch in the front which looks really nice (I did the have someone sit on the fender test) and takes away the slight "donkiness" it has in the front currently. Just swapped the cams and am going to do exhaust (those duals look nice...) and tuning next.

I will try to post pics...but none of the photo sharing sites work here at work.

they are the older style springs, not cut.

Wow never have I wanted an 900 series car more than I do now.

One thing though... how do these guys lower their 95+ 900s? I thought the rears couldn't be lowered due to the leaf springs?

You cut the rear perch for the Nivomat and reweld it on lower. The nice thing is that, IMHO, the rear doesn't look that high at stock height with my 18 inch wheels. So, just by lowering the front an inch, it looks balanced and doesn't have that motorboat look. And 1 inch in the front really isn't changing the angle at which the car sits all that much at all.

Yeah. Instead of the inline 6 whiteblock, a lot of people in Europe have put in the T5s because of the nicer aftermarket. If you have a whiteblock 6, you already have a lot of the parts you need to do a T5 conversion.

Turbo went out of the map at the dyno because the custom Enem cams he had in were way too much for the Turbonetics, exhaust backpressure started rising too much so they couldn't up the boost more. He has ordered new Enem cams with bit milder specs, 276/112/11.5/2.2 though. Also he ordered a larger exhaust side for the turbo.

Well.. 520hp for first dyno is more than enough, at least for me it would be.. :)

Here's my S90. Its dirty and the front will be lowered 1 inch next week to make the wheel gap the same. The License plate holder also needs to go.

Not sure I like the chrome trim...is black trim available, or do people just paint the stock trim black?
