Modifying 86+ seats

Trying to add the folding hinges from a 242 seat to an 86+ seat back. I can?t get the damn button off the seat back. The plastic knob that you push on slides onto the metal lever, there?s a tiny little bent piece of metal that hooks into a hole on the lever to keep it attached. I have pulled that little hook back but the knob won?t come off am I missing something? Couldn?t find anything online
