That looks like the 244 a guy on here had, but I believe he was a young Asian guy. I think his screen name was OldSchoolEuro.

+Kardboard+ 11-04-2014 08:44 PM

Sure looks like him: http://turbobricks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267397

Though the spoiler and plate are different.

Yeah the guys at the detailing place told me it belonged to an old retired man that was in the service. He bought it brand new in New York and has had it ever since.

+1 gotta be oldschooleuro's 240..

Mugatu 11-04-2014 10:56 PM

Wow weird. Yeah they showed me a picture of the owner which was an older gentleman (white guy :) ) standing next to it so dunno. :e-shrug:

D.E 11-04-2014 11:15 PM

The Volvo logo fog covers, euro turns, black headlight bezel trim, Turbo grill, same colour, same wheels (actual Polaris, not Eikers)... And he mentioned in his thread he was swapping to R brakes which the car you posted also has. Just seems like too many similarities to be a coincidence. :e-shrug:

It is a great looking 240. :)

Mugatu 11-04-2014 11:18 PM

Crazy...this car didn't have R brakes from what I saw, it had some large ass brakes front and rear. No idea what they were. But for sure cool looking car!

Why ruin a really nice car with fender mirrors?
Also the 78 style single rounds wold fit the car better imo

Funkee 11-11-2014 07:36 PM

Same with the hood pins.. but I like the earlier round though :)

petiww 11-12-2014 10:28 PM

Coupe' de Grace's 244, damn, it makes me want a coffin hood soo bad without the fancy us quad headlight setup. :omg:

I'm the only person that doesn't like this, aren't I?

If the rear spoiler is actually useful and not for looks or slowing it down I can tolerate it. Other than that neat track car.

quillc 12-24-2014 12:25 AM

i suppose it depends upon what you are using it for.
If you are building a Pikes Peak challenge car, you would absolutely need it. It may not be enough.
If you are building a drift car, nope don't need it. Strictly a style thing.
If you are running at say VIR where you are doing a buck fifty on the back stretch before the oak tree, you might need it to keep the back end from getting squirrely.
