Strut advice

Hello,

Looking for some advice regarding front struts on a 1982 volvo 244.

Front driver side strut is making a clunking sound - no idea when they were last refreshed, likely requires doing.

Update: Issue resolved.

Was indeed the rear bolts, they were not torqued sufficiently. All the bad noises have gone.

That's interesting, I felt like I had issues with that lower bolts.

Both seemed to get to a level whereby they would not tighten anymore (held the nut on the other side). I will double check them.

I would agree with that. I daily drive a 1982 244 Turbo @ 15psi. (shimmed fuel distributor)

The car has the stock Kjet fuel system. For me timing is a bigger issue than fuel..

Doesn't the odometer work via the speedometer cable? The cable essentially turns the cogs that display speed, mileage and the trip?

Main cluster turn signal indicators

I had the main cluster out enough recently to replace the bulbs (changed to LED).

Today the right side turn signal indicator stopped illuminating - the bulbs still flash, just not showing it...

I resolved it. Was able to pull enough cable through so that I could get the nut back on. Hands are torn up but its on lol.

Just need to replace the bulbs now...
