I’m very happy with my FYG. No distortions and the seal is nice and wide (wider than the OEM seal that was on my ‘91) so it would probably look fine on a 90 and earlier car with the wide chrome trim.

They are ideal shocks in my eyes. I just wish bilstein could get the sizing right on the sleeves. I measured mine and both ends are .5mm too big compared to the fresh OEM volvo hardware.

I’d love it if they lasted 50k miles. I’ve been through 3 pairs of rear shocks in the last 50k miles alone but then again the roads in Los Angeles are absolutely horrific as far as potholes go.

The sachs ones blew out in less than 2 years and they were kinda rattly too but that might have been due to loose hardware. I bought some KYB Excel Gs and they seem to be ok in the rattle department...

The windshield seems to be air tight. I’ve used a modified mechanics stethoscope to pinpoint air leakage and it doesn’t seem like there was anything going on with the windshield.
