mine did the same thing so I unplugged the switch, found the 12v coming off the harness and jumpered the seat until it went the right direction.

The switches are a b*tch to find if you haven't...

I have some dash and interior trim parts specific to the 73-74 if you need them. I couldn't find a dash so I went with a early 240 dash.
