Wheel bearings can be changed to something more beefy/modern and probably metric. Saw it in Sweden where some guys with BMW swapped 240's are reaching unhealthy...

+1 and the wide NA 940 radiator fits in the wide position of the stock mounts too. 940 hoses fit. In the USA, often found on rex Regina cars I think.

My 240, built mid 1990, had the steel cover.
