Check the transmission kickdown cable connection at the throttle spool.

Make sure the ground wire from the alt to block...

Make sure the ground wire from the alt to block is in good condition. I've seen the insulation bubble and get dark from overheating caused by high resistance.

Your radio and dash go out that means you lose Accessories circuit. Since the engine turns off that means you also lose Ignition/FI. I would start looking at the points that are common for both...
