Couldn't you still check for ground engine off/on at W to see if it's for a warning light or ground input?

Although I wouldn't think a floating ground sending unit would be able to peg the gauge...

I've had manifolds with both EGR and O2 sensors, EGR from just two exhaust ports while obviously the O2 sensor overlaps both 1-2&3-4. Wanna say they where different sizes aswell, but problem solved...
