I did it too, I just drilled out the Kjet plastic injector holders and used the fat kjet injector seals on the electronic injector and fabbed up could hold downs for the fuel rail that bolted down...

That sounds like the right length, what flywheel are you using? I had to go to 15mm length with the John V lightweight flywheel. Most socket head(Allen) bolts are 12.9.

I only use Gates Kevlar timing belts. I had a cam seize due to lack of oil pressure and it snapped the cam bolt right off, didn't harm the belt at all. I did replace it though.
