Does the tach move at all when cranking? If it doesn’t, it’s probably the CPS.

You can try wiggling the wiring for the CPS and see if it’ll start.

Pulled apart my B23 that had been sitting outdoors for a few years. Cyl 3 had a bit of rust in it but it still turned over freely. I put some vinegar in the bore and let it sit for a day or two and...

Just plop it in and see if you notice a difference. It won’t explode, but probably idle a bit rough. A cam swap is like a 30 min job max on a 240 so you could easily swap back if you don’t like it....

If it has spark: try hotwiring the fuel pump to see if it buzzes.

Throw out bearing. It’s what presses against the pressure plate and releases the pressure when you push the clutch pedal. It squealing a bit is not a big problem.

Seems to me like only metallic and white cars ’81-91ish have painted airdams. After ’91 or ’92 they’re all black plastic. A quick look at 240’s ’81-93 for sale confirms this.
