Just came across this. I've always wanted a wagon, but this will be much more useful for me. I live in Canada and currently have 2 Skodas and VW Jetta. Like previously stated... I have always wanted one of those slammed wagons producing overly amounts of power melting the back tires off. But this will be a good start. Just waiting on the seller to send me pictures of the box/end cab to make sure it is not rotten. It comes with a safety which in Canada is required to place a car on the road and to insure it. I will need all the help in the world.

Looks like the tailgate on this one opens. Most of the conversions I see have a solid , not opening tailgate. Would have looked better with the small Volvo window in the 1/4 panel.

I am not sure if I will ever understand these! But honestly this one looks well out together at first glance! Interested to see how they dealt with the bed!

looks better with the small side window

Kinda sucks that someone would do this to a 242. It even has a GT badge on the back, although I don't think it's an actual GT. What a shame. I love the whole Volvo pickup thing, but not this one. Use a wagon or a sedan. Don't cut up a coupe for it. And let the flaming begin for my love of 242s...

I'm not sure if it is a 242, the angle of the pics taken is making it hard for me to judge the length of the doors.

I still really want to know where this is?!? I can't see a single license plate in the picture but the O.P 's talk of a safety inspection makes me think Ontario. I'd love to see this thing in the flesh. If it's in eastern Ontario O.P. , maybe the eye of an experienced Volvo person could tell you if it's worth touching or structurally compromised?

I "think" it's a 242 GLT going by the interior and steering wheel. Still waiting on a reply with the pictures and more info. I'm so excited. Not the wagon I've always wanted... But still just as happy to buy a Volvo.

Also doesn't have k-jet fuel plumbing, but has a k-jet air intake, which makes me wonder #1 WTF kind of fuel delivery system it's running on and #2 where the heck are the injectors?
