highly appreciated.

thnx for all the contributions...its looks great... will still work on an end-to end alphabetized wheel guide as soon as i get all of the styles.....there seem to be about a billion. damn.

I stopped by the Volvo dealership about 1/2 mile from my house last Saturday (looking for pressure plate bolts, which they didn't have in stock) and picked up a wheels brochure while I was there. Huge pictoral listing of their current wheel offerings, with sizes included.

You can see partial listings online too: http://www.volvocars.us/models/Accessories/

740/760 Wheels

I have a set of these in my garage that I am looking to get rid of. I do not know their name but they are from 85-90 740 and 85-87 760. They are 15x6 and termed "10 slot, covered lugs" based on a look up of the part number.

Nice job Jumpy, didn't know mine were called multi-x. They were originally on a 90 or 91 240 i had a few years ago. I painted the spokes black this past summer and used newer style Volvo plastic centers on them. Have had these wheels on a number of 2 7 and 940's. First time i put a set of Virgos, i think that's what the 240t wheels were called, on a 760t i had the wife was ready to go visit her daughter, tried to go in the 760t and it would'nt budge. The rims were stuck on the front calipers. lol Went in her 240 and proceeded to put the 760 rims back on when i got back home....

Awesome Thread!!

Not sure if you guys have the 740GLE alloys... dont see them too often but they look nice when theyre in good shape... they remind me of vintage 70's Campagnolo wheels. Does anybody know what they are called?

dersus, with the center pie plate cap removed. As I recall they are a 14" rim

They'd be the Dersus. Ugliest wheel ever built.

The ones above, and the ones on my car, are 15".

I believe there were both 14" and 15".

They are all incredibly ugly, with and without the pie tins.
