![]() Actually, I think you're right - it is 1". I have a feeling a 24mm fits (I could be talking nonsense...!), but a 1" socket is the intended tool.
cheers James

![]() if it's 1" it's 25.4mm, no a 24mm shouldn't work, 1.4mm variance, that's some loose sockets

![]() Anyone know offhand the size of the bolts to mount the CBV to the head & those that attach the lower turbo (90+) manifold support the the block?

Thread mentions they're BSP (British Standard Pipe), measured the fittings on an oil cooler I have... Cooler itself looks to be 3/4 BSP, soft lines are 5/8 BSP. See http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/thr...ting-guide.asp for infoes... Pegasus also has BSP to NPT or AN adapters, so no need to hack and weld your oil cooler fittings. ![]() |

![]() Anyone know the size/thread pitch of the petcock on B230s? I'm trying to find a bushing kit to install a stock temperature sender for a new VDO gauge.
Thanks |

![]() Yes, that one! It says 18 mm head on this thread (is that equivalent to M12 in all cases)

![]() I don't know the answer I'm afraid...I thought it might help someone else assist. My gut feeling (from a rather dim memory) is that it looks more like an M14, but certainly don't count on that! I have a block on the floor I guess I could take a look at, but it's then going to be a case of working out what the hell the bolt I've got to engage with it actually is (particularly in terms of pitch..."weird" things like that may well not be the default pitch), as I don't have a set of thread gauges!

![]() The block drain thread is a Pipe thread if I'm not mistaken.

![]() Anyone recall the thread size for the RWD ring gear to differential bolts? I recall them being 10mm or larger.

![]() A little research tonight gave up that the '86-92 RX7 oil coolers have 18x1.5mm thread. And also that anplumbing.com has 10an to 18mm adapters for ~$11.
edit: installed said adapters into my cooler today, fits like a glove. http://www.flickr.com/photos/rlangis/4667715174/ Last edited by volvogeek; 06-03-2010 at 07:53 PM.. |

![]() If you're gonna use a 1/8-27 VDO sender, you'll ned to remove the whole deal. I used a NPT adapter in mine, but not sure what size it was.
