Actually, I think you're right - it is 1". I have a feeling a 24mm fits (I could be talking nonsense...!), but a 1" socket is the intended tool.

if it's 1" it's 25.4mm, no a 24mm shouldn't work, 1.4mm variance, that's some loose sockets

Thread mentions they're BSP (British Standard Pipe), measured the fittings on an oil cooler I have... Cooler itself looks to be 3/4 BSP, soft lines are 5/8 BSP. See http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/thr...ting-guide.asp for infoes... Pegasus also has BSP to NPT or AN adapters, so no need to hack and weld your oil cooler fittings.

How about the thead and pitch along with seat on the stock front brake lines at the calipers on a 940? Already have ipd ss lines and need to get to 1/8 pipe thread.

Yes, that one! It says 18 mm head on this thread (is that equivalent to M12 in all cases)

I don't know the answer I'm afraid...I thought it might help someone else assist. My gut feeling (from a rather dim memory) is that it looks more like an M14, but certainly don't count on that! I have a block on the floor I guess I could take a look at, but it's then going to be a case of working out what the hell the bolt I've got to engage with it actually is (particularly in terms of pitch..."weird" things like that may well not be the default pitch), as I don't have a set of thread gauges!

The block drain thread is a Pipe thread if I'm not mistaken.

I just ordered some metric adapter bushings. I'll hopefully know tomorrow, if one of the bushings fit the hloe & threads.

A little research tonight gave up that the '86-92 RX7 oil coolers have 18x1.5mm thread. And also that anplumbing.com has 10an to 18mm adapters for ~$11.

If you're gonna use a 1/8-27 VDO sender, you'll ned to remove the whole deal. I used a NPT adapter in mine, but not sure what size it was.
