I seem to have a work around for the double post in large threads. If you use the quick reply. Click quick reply and type in your post. Click submit once and only once. The wheel will start spinning but don't wait for it. Instead just click up at the top for Off Topic for a refresh and then when you go back to the thread it will look like your post isn't there. However, if you enter the thread again your post will be there only once. This has been working fine for me for awhile so I figured I'd mention it.

I just hit post and then close the window when it starts wheeling

It’s like driving an old Volvo you gotta learn the tricks

I usually just click "Go Advanced" and it loads just fine. Been doing this for years, when I remember to do so. :-P

Stop Hitting that send button like a redheaded stepchild!
