Most desirable ECU and EZK #'s for chipping or replacement

I have access to a Volvo shop who used to wreck cars.

They have a multitude of ECUs and EZKs available

What does Turbobricks need?

I'd suggest a listing in for sale with some prices. Numbers that I have used are fuel ecu 951 for n/a 240, and 933 for 940 turbo. The best EZK are the gold colored boxes as they are all able to be chipped. But there are some black box EZK like a 148 that can be chipped. You gotta check the black boxes. Also most all EZK can be updated with the daughter board added if you are handy with a soldering iron. Several venders sell a kit to do so. The numbers I am referring to are the last three digits of the bosch part number.

The reason I haven't put up a for sale thread is I haven't looked closely through the pile.

For 8valve B230 ECUs, there are Turbo and NA versions, plus EGR and non-EGR variations. I think the most common late model NA ECU is the 951. For turbo non-EGR, there's the 937. I've seen mixed reports if the 954 turbo is EGR or non-EGR. The 984 ECUs are the most advanced but include an immobilizer which requires chip replacement. Someone on here has a good spreadsheet of ECUs, but I don't have a link handy. Here are a couple older and somewhat suspect links:

For EZKs, the gold colored ones are chippable, but the factory chip is for EGR. See yellow highlighted here:

The non factory-chippable 146 and 148 are the standard NA and Turbo EZKs. You can add a chip daughter card to these if a gold box isn't available.

you can get on ebay and search volvo ezk and ecu's. There is always a few on there and will give you an idea what to look for according to the pics.
