Used the Volvo adapter for the first since buying this kit 25 years ago.
At idle with the regulator hose disconnected it reads 39 psi and with it connected, about 31 psi. Seems a bit on the high side but with tolerances of an old gauge, I'd say it's OK.
The problem is, after turning the engine off, the pressure drops to below 5 psi in less than a minute. Is that the check valve on the end of the pump gone bad? I can see why it cranks so long before starting.
