![]() The offset seems wrong to me. et40 is the offset you would find on FWD Volvos. RWD cars like the 940 should mount something with an offset of et20-25.

![]() I see, they aren't advertised as volvo wheels just a set of 5 OZ racing alloys I've found on facebook, which are 5x108 (The center bore I could get bored out if it were to small)
Im just not sure if the et would cause me fitment issues would hate to uy them only to find they touch the shocks. |

![]() They might work with spacers and longer studs.

![]() You could be in luck, IIRC late 960's use high offset 'FWD' wheels, but I don't know the exact year of the change.

![]() You will require spacers in the range of around 20mm.
You might be okay with the arches, but there's a chance it will hit / rub on the front strut if the wheel is too wide. Offset of a 940 is usually between 20-25mm, depending on the wheel. As an example, RWD Hydra wheels are 16x6,5 ET25. You can do the calculation by yourself or use www.willtheyfit.com but it seems to be offline at the moment. Late 960's and the S/V90's did, but OP's late 940 is using RWD offset, they did so until the end of their life in 1998.

![]() Spacers were my next idea but again I'm not sure if they will then rub on the arch only one way to find out

![]() As mentioned by Fa182 you will have to install spacers.
I drive 7x16 ET32 and needed 15mm to clear the front shocks. 16x7.5j et40 means these wheels go 14mm further to the inside... 25-30mm spacers...
