Nice progress, especially with tackling that rust! Otherwise it's a crappy feeling if you're driving around with "the silent killer" as a passenger.

I got some replacement lenses for the quads.

New on top, old on the bottom.
The bezels will be dechromed and will be painted black to match the grill.

The Rial mesh, the car came with aren't straight... That's why I'm looking for a new set of wheels for the summer tires at the moment.
Since I don't think the common options realy suit the car, I was looking for something different.
I got some cheap 16" Jaguar wheels, I liked. They look good on the car, but not that good, that they are worth buying the necessary spacers for them.

Next try: 17" steelies from Citroen.

Spot on! I guess I'll start searching for everything needed to get them road legal on the car.

Those citroen steelies are et35 17x7.5 right? Are you planning on a 10mm or a 20mm spacer, from experience running et15 will affect the centering behaviour of you alignment, although it will allow some better tire width;)

I'll keep them as a backup, since the US headlight conversion is not fully road legal here...

Auch wenn ich jetzt wahrscheinlich gesteinigt werde: Ich mag keine der Oceans-Felgen...

They are 7x17 with ET32. I thought about running some 5mm spacers at first. But I guess 10mm are the better choise, since the original Polaris, which are designed for this car are ET20.

Some classic 16" BBS/Mahle, 17" BBS LeMans, a set of Geminis or some Ronal Aero are the only rims that I would suit is in my eyes.

This weekend I started to paint the bezels in the same satin black als the grill and the mirrors.

First step: Getting rid of the chrome that was already peeling of at some areas.

After paint. I'm quite happy with the result.

Next side will be done next weekend. Afterwards I'll blast and paint the bases and replace the bolts. When I'm done hopefully the LED headlights and the bulb sockets arrived.

I'm born on Sylt and my dad is still living at the danish border. I'm living near Frankfurt a.M..
I have the Civic registered up there, because the mods wouldn't be approved here in Hessen...

Today I took the time to rebuild the rest of the headlights. Fresh paint, new bolts.

First one in. Direct comparission old vs. new:

With working DLR.

The LED headlights are waiting for onward transport at the customs in Amsterdam since a week now... So far I'll run the worn sealed beams.

Man.. That looks so freaking awesome, I'm jealous about it.. Would love to install these on my 940, but that's too much to do making it fit.

I better don't ask about a capital E in a Circle?

For the bottom light maybe you could use a bit plastidip smoke?

I like that contrast between the bright lights and the dark housings. The bumpers well be replaced with black ones in the future. That will bring even a bit more contrast.

The LED headlights are ECE-approved. All other lights installed in my frontend aren't... :D
I talked to the local Prüfer meines Vertrauens and the conversion doesn't even need headlight washers or automatic adjustment.

My wife and I took a little test drive in the dark - as far as we are allowed at the moment.
The headlights are simply awesome. They are as good as the stock LED headlights in her Seat Leon.

Yesterday I put in the set of new taillights I had laying around for quite a while now. I took the chance to do a little mod as well.
