should the water channels be plugged like that? sorry for novice question but I always thought the channels should be as open as possible

I think he means that area on the heads surface that looks like theres a clogged waterport, but its just dirt from the open port in the block and gasket...

The runners are not equal now, I've to correct it, and to sandblast the intake runners.

I'll post pics of the tools I've used soon!

It'll be enough I think! That's why I'm thinking about decreasing a bit the boost also (from 1.2 bar to 1.0 bar) => 17psi to 14 psi...

Job to be done now :

-sandblasted the intake runners
-lap the valve
-match the valve springs
-install it in the car!

Mating face, my friend, -- not good enough for MLs if it is to last.
You'd need to get that head decked/ planed--
Look at my head 2 pages back --That just about did it with Hylomar.

For sure my friend! It's not finished yet! The intake runners'll be sandblasted, I plan to shave it something like 0.5/0.6mm, + some other job to finish...
