When I was running at 1.3 bar (19PSI) boost, the issue was from 5K RPM... I think it's very soon...

Other then that, my AFR is 11.5/11.7 'till 6000+ RPM now! So my car pulls rock solid from 4000 to the redline now!

Huge thanks to TLAO for his very good help and advices!

Hi Alex
I think that Water-oil heat exchanger is not very efficient, -- if the engine is just warm, I get better power and less pinging, than if the engine is hot.
So my plan is to change to an air-oil cooler. I am in the process of collecting all the parts, I will be using a 24 row Mocal cooler, which I got for a very good price on EBAY in combination with my thermostat sandwich plate. This should keep the oil temps between 80 and 90 deg.
I,ll post more when I am at it.
cheers, Hans

it seems to make better power when hot, as the pinging starts later, -- the ignition doesn't have to retard as much as itused to when the engine was hot.

Interesting! Your car continue to ping? Even with Stoni's chips?

The ping when accelerating from low refs never went away. Not with Mike's not with Stoni's or the bosch chips. All 940' here have it. It is just a quick ping ping, and that is it, but you feel the power been taken away somehow. It does not come on the other side of 3500 refs.

You're not lucky about the pinging...

Hi Hans, in my opinion you should modify the lower bracket of your mocal. It is far too stiff, the mocal expands amazingly when getting hot. The lower part is fixed better in rubber mountings or with washers and able to slide while expanding. The upper are ok.

cheers Kay

Hmm--no problem if it expands upwards, -- the top brackets have enough give, and sidewise, -- the bottom ones have give on the lower radiator bracket -- So up to 2,-3 mm heat expansion, no problem sidewise. I drilled the holes on one side to 6,5 mm and use washers, not tidying the nuts too much, just to be on the safe side.

Other then that, I've ordered this :

http://shop.klracing.se/sv/artiklar/...la-utblas.html

I mounted it wednesday, as soon as it was here... What I can say is :

It looks very good, shinny finish. But, even with the 3" inlet pipe, in the muffler it's 2.5"... The sound is ugly , with a huge drone @ 3000 RPM, and my car lost a lot of power past 4500 RPM...

So, I'm back to my previous real 3" JT muffler, and my car (and my ears) are happy now!

If you're tempted to buy this KL crap, stay away for it! Even with this low price, it's still too expensive for what it is...

All what it is, is a actuator where you can change the spring inside, -- bit pricey considering other boost controllers.
JT rocks!!!!
