Default New C30

Always been a fan of volvos and certainly been on the forum here for several years. could never find a good 240 or 740 like the ones i grew up in but I feel like this would be a good replacement.

I found a 2008 R design with 56k on the clock.

Those are fun. Lots of suspension options and at least one off the shelf turbo upgrade available. Great cars.

Thanks everybody. So far great car.

I'm actually in malvern pa. Which is still outside Philadelphia. I was at the king of prussia mall last fall and there was a meet going on at the Shake shack. Anybody here apart of that or know where I can find more events like that.

I just got a phone call from my local Volvo shop. I wanted to give them a try. The shop mentioned the uneven camber wear on the rear tires was due to a camber control arm bending or the sheet metal bending over time? They quoted me $550 to have the rears installed. I am used to old Hondas needing suspension parts not cars with 60k on the clock. Is this a legit problem or should I be worried about this shop. Also if this is a common problem are there specific parts you would suggest to avoid this?

Thanks again

Might be a better bet to check on forums more used to the C30 platform. Maybe Volvospeed or Swedespeed.

My R goes out of alignment all the time, so I just got a lifetime alignment at a local shop. Maybe it's something similar?

They run quite a bit of camber stock.... Like -2.5? Off the top of my head. There are camber arms from Volvo which will decrease negative camber by .5 or .7.

I believe there are also aftermarket options that allow on car adjustability- that is what I'd go with personally.

Most people just live with the uneven wear- it doesn't make noise unless you swap the tires to the front.

Great cars.

Jordan thanks for the info. That goes right along with what I have read. I found a set of spc camber arms on swede speed and hopefully can pick those up. And if so I'll can certainly install them myself.

Iv seen c30crew but not had a change to sign up. But I'll be posting there soon

I wish the P2 cars had this option. We just get a funky offset bushing.

Nice C30, I like the white. I drove a manual R-design last year and really liked it.
