Hi Everyone, new to TB but certainly not to Volvos. Ive been in the process of obtaining a nice 240 for myself for a 40th birthday present. I recently put a downpayment on a really clean looking manual 1985 GL. From Texas so its much cleaner than anything up here, and the wiring harness has already been replaced from the biodegradable original mess.

I grew up in a Volvo family in the 80's so this is going to be a fun trip down memory lane. My first car in 1997 was my parents 1983 DL, and the first car I bought 2 years later was a 93'.

Of course we have an 850 Estate for cruising around too! it was a rescue... that's it...just trying to save the poor fella.

This site is great, full of useful stuff for the shade tree Volvo guy!

Step 1: Crush that WWD thing.
Step 2: Take the scrap value and get another 240 with it.
Step 3: Profit.

Welcome and have fun!

LOL, I know, I have a soft spot for it, the same color and year of the one my parents got new in 1994. I am probably picking up a 91' 240 too, so there's that. depending on how much I want to put into the 240's the 850 is on the top of the chopping block list.
