they're from a volvo s40 from year 1996. 15 inch

hmmm, must be a UK or European model? i don't believe the S40 reached the US until like 2000, and I don't think I've ever seen those wheels on a Volvo.

Ok, I found them. Damn if they aren't Volvo optional wheels from 1996 for the S40...

are those a RWD wheel? they look more like a FWD wheel to me. the offsets are different, and if you put a FWD (850 etc) wheel on a RWD car, you need to use spacers. and if those are too wide, I can imaging fender or strut clearance problems. stock in a 245 was 195/75-14, +1 is 205/65-15, +2 is 215/55-16... I dunno what a +3 would be, something like 225/45R17 .... pinch flat city if you hit a pothole.

But then, I think the slammed-to-the-ground and tires-so-low-profile-they-look-like-electrical-tape look is just silly on a road car

I have seen two part numbers for the Gemini wheels: 1394622 and 1394623. Were these different finishes? Did the Geminis ever come in a chrome finish? Does anyone know what the different part numbers are for?

I think that these are Canonica Big Star wheels. I have a set of these rims and they look very similar. Maybe the center cap is little different
