Welp,
figgerd out the IC mounting and position. Tried to get it done before the storms that never showed so I pulled the ac compressor, lines and smashed my pinky.
Productive evening I spose.

If you don't suede the intercooler pipes, I won't be impressed.

Got the rest of the AC trash out of there.
I think the engine is coming out next weekend.

Uh, it's been too nice out and the trails have been perfect. Sorry volvo, bike took priority.

I'd buy an HG set from the dealer. The elring HG and exhaust manifold gaskets are not as nice....

Meh, It'll be fine.
I'd do a S60R MLS gasket before I spent money on the reg HG at the dealer.
(And I don't think they sell an HG set anyway)

I'd steer clear of those URO 274111 motor mounts for your application... They are just OK on a stock 240, but on anything making over say 100hp I wouldn't bother with them. Sure they're super cheap, but swapping mounts sucks.

OEM headgasket is like $50 from Tasca IIRC... the difference to piece it all together using genuine parts is about $40. BTDT, compared the 2, will always go dealer on gaskets now.
Your car your money though just thought I'd mention it.

Also my car has been on Scamtech motor mounts since the beginning, they're like new still.

They work fine if you don't use the rediculous volvo 240 mount locations, and use a 3rd mount.

Alex and I used the ****tiest Scantech mounts with the 960 uppers and the engine was as solid as can be. The stock engine mount configuration in a 240 is more than slightly retarded.

Ah - it does look like they'll live a much longer life in that configuration. I assume that means similar mount brackets will be used on this car?

Edit: Sweet sway bar mod BTW Karl.
