![]() There's a hose nipple threaded into the block behind the downpipes on an NA B230F. It's right at the rear of the block just in front of the bellhousing.
Should this have a hose on it? What is it for? It's not the coolant drain is it? Since it's literally just a hose nipple threaded into the block. |

![]() Yes, it is the coolant drain for the block. On the 940 turbos it does get a hose to it for the oil to coolant cooler setup.

![]() yeah that's the block drain. Sometimes they don't do anything when you break them free until you poke out the 200k miles worth of crud build up. Can also be a good spot for water cooled turbo plumbing.
